LCBDE Gallbladder with Liver Model for Surgical Training
Our LCBDE Gallbladder with Liver Model manufactured with our hyper-realistic material. In this model, the gallbladder is adhered to the section of liver and represents their relative anatomical positions. The gallbladder’s walls are thin, and thus maintains an internal passage throughout the gallbladder and bile duct structure. Therefore these models are great for training procedures such as:
- Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration (LCBDE) which is a minimally invasive procedure to check the gallbladder for gallstones (choledocholithiasis).
- Cholangioscopy where trainees can insert a cholangioscope into the biliary tree to treat gallstones via partial incision of the cystic duct.

Our hyper-real material simulates tissue more accurately than rubbers and plastics which do not feel or behave as realistically by comparison. Scanning of our models is possible via ultrasound, CT, and MRI techniques. Our material is fully flexible and soft to touch and therefore useful for hands-on evaluation compared to hard and rigid plastic models. Also, our material is compatible with surgical diathermy for making cuts in our models and is readily suturable to close them back up.

Approximate model dimensions are 180 mm height, 160 mm width, 50 mm depth. Gallbladder is hollow with approx. 4 mm wall thickness.
